Palo Alto Veteran's Hospital - On Monday May 12 at noon in the poly 

trauma unit 7-D a ceremony to unveil a quilt dedicated by the young 

men going through treatment to offer words of encouragement to 

the ones coming after. These are some of the same men you have 

welcomed home.  They are on the road to recovery.  This quilt will 

be permanently displayed to offer hope and encouragement to all 

who pass through these halls. I hope that you or some of the 

patriot guards will be able to attend.  

No RC needed.  If you can attend, just be there at 12.

(Veterans Way), San Bruno, CA 94080  Speakers: U.S. House of 

Representatives, Jackie Speier, Major Ted Wong & 

Captain Roland Harris.  Event also includes: patriotic presentations 

and musical performances. 

Luncheon Afterwards

Please join us after the Memorial Day Ceremony for a no-host lunch 

at the American Legion Hall at 757 San Mateo Avenue, San Bruno 

located on the corner of Huntington and San Mateo Avenue.  

Lunch cost: $8.00.

On Sunday, June 22nd,  a "Welcome Home" BBQ for Iraq & Afghanistan 

Vets will be held at the Santa Rosa Vets Building Dining Room, 1351 

Maple Ave, Santa Rosa (across from the Sonoma County Fair Grounds).  

The Vietnam Veteran's of America Chapter #223, along with other 

veteran's and civic groups are the hosts.  Tickets are $10.00.
